New Insecticide Resource

Capture.JPG

The Department of Agriculture has released a great new resource that provides an easy to read summary of the available insecticides that are registered, or under permit, in mungbeans as of September 2017.

A second resource provides a calendar as to the best practice product windows and use restrictions to manage insecticide resistance in Helicoverpa armigera -- the pesky moths whose larvae feed on flowers, bore into pods and eat seed.  Heliothis can greatly affect yields with damaged pods becoming exposed to weather and in turn become infected by seed rotting organisms.
